  • Diploma or Degree in Purchasing Management.
  • Technical or legal qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Experience in international procurement and conditions
  • 5 years experience in purchasing or contract administration in related environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong knowledge of contract management
  • Good  knowledge of commercial legislation
  • Good analytical skills and ability to read, interpret and compile reports
  • Suppliers evaluation experience
  • Good Customer service  and administrative skills
  •  Ability to deal at all levels of management , suppliers and customers
  • Ability to work independently

  • Negotiating terms and conditions, price, quality and continuity of supply
  • Report writing
  • Selection of suppliers
  • Suppliers visits and evaluation of products and quality
  • Maintenance of suppliers data base
  • Continuous  review of suppliers performance, commodities and Terms and conditions including pricing
  • Ensure up to date awareness of the current market conditions  and ensuring application of saving measures
  • Ensuring best possible service of suppliers and maintenance and improvement of working relationships with suppliers
  • Investigation of problem area’s of suppliers and apply appropriate remedial action
  • Resolving account queries promptly
