Minimum
requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a unionized environment
  • Good knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation

Key performance
  • Provide advise and guidance to all internal customers on HR related matters
  • Play an active HR role in all hearings by correct application of provisions of the Company policies and procedures, MEIBC agreements, legislation
  • Provide IR training on a needs basis and IR representation at Bargaining Council.
  • Management of full time shop stewards, students and other staff members
  • Employment equity, implementation, training and development
  • Prepare policies and codes of conduct on labour relations related matters
  • Recruitment and selection of hourly paid employees
  • Coordinate and oversee the Company arranged transport portfolio
  • Manage incapacity and absenteeism
  • Draft agreements, shift patterns, bargaining Council and Department of Labour applications
